The rebuild old court yard of Lady von Liers is situated in my hometown. I sould the original painting to a greek collegue of mine, who was searching for something typical "german" for his relatives in Greece, to show them, where he is working...Thanks too for your kind vote!

Almo,you have SO many special treasures in your gallery that I have not yet seen! I'm so excited to uncover this one today! The stoney road is so exquisitely painted with subtle shadows.It sweeps round and takes me to that intriguing archway that I want to step through.But instead I stand and admire that intricate character -filled old building with its beautiful shapes and red roof.Last,but not least,the green tree,profusely covered in ivy is utterly enchanting and looks so lovely against the red. I have always noticed how red peeps out of your paintings in all kinds of ways to highlight,add warmth and enchant the viewer. This is gorgeous. v.f
