Alfred, I meant to comment on this sooner. This is a fine piece, needing no changes. It is such a lovely scene, a place where I'd want to go and dream. LF

Alfred~~extremely beautiful and I very much like all those refreshing shades of green. For me, the path doesn't have to curve, as it appears to continue on as a grassy trail through the beautiful sunlit forest to new vistas! Very nice, and I certainly appreciate your recent visit to my site where you left a fine comment~~sincere thanks!!! F&V!

So beautiful Alfred! I love the trail that disappears into the forest. Your title is befitting for I am at the end of your works, well I guess it is the beginning depending on how you look at it! :D v/f

Beautiful portrayal of life's journeys...some things end...others begin...sometimes we have to come to a stand still to realize that the road ends...and start anew...wonderful contemplation Alfred... f/v

I spend my life pondering such questions, so I am so happy to see the new title! Beautiful, thoughtful painting!!

Thank you so much, Jane! On one side Iīm feeling a little bad drawing busy mouse people into existential questions of art and life.., on the other side,...I admit,...Iīm feeling lucky and greatful! Your recommendation is simply genious,...but letīs ad a questionmark at the end, leaving the spectator alone with the existential questions: End of the journey, beginning of a new one, where does the light come from...? Itīs great and itīs simply pleasure to discuss these questions with you..thank you,..certainly the effect of magic power of water....., Almo

I quietly choose to see it differently to Manuel ! Definitely not too much green. The green light of the forest is simply exquisite (to my eyes) As for the path...yes...I would have made it turn the corner . BUT ...easy and wonderfully simple way out...call the picture.."Journey's End" And wow ! You have a mysterious painting, that leaves the viewer lingering with the green glow in the forest clearing, and wondering what happens next ! How beautiful is that !!!!!

Artist's Description

Dedicated to Jane
Watercolour on hahnemhle 300g, 36 x 48 cm.
Walking in the forest makes me forget trouble and sorrows.
The path leads deaper in the forest from where the light is shining.
Is this the end of the journey, meaning the end of life or is this simply the beginning of a new one, from where the light is coming? We can only ask questions, the spectator has to find answers, existential answers concerning hin own life? May be! Life (or death?) will unearth the truth....
