Thank you Anne for your wonderful words you found for this painting and your kind vote..!!

Thank you so much for coming back, Jane! The fist title was in German "Landungsbrücke", translated in English " Boarding Bridge" or "Gangplank". I am well aware that this early work does not reach the technical level of later works, but as you wrote so amicably, there is much energy and motion in it.. Concerning further seascape paintings,..I hope they will come,..what about "deep waters" ?!? ;-) ..but I am slowly overcome by the realization, that I should not blow too much about my soul....:-)

Back again! "Moving Waters" Yes, Almo,I love that title and only wish I could remember from yesterday what you called it before! There is a lot of turbulence and change and energy here. I could read so much symbolism into the bridge/pier too but any attempt for me to write a philosophical commentary as you do on mine will probably fail dismally ! The main point is that this is a brilliantly powerful watercolour seascape and I look forward to any future seascape "mirrors of your soul" that might hopefully emerge! .

You remember, Jane, that I once wrote that our paintings are the mirror of our soul. There are not many paintings of mine, which confirm this thesis as much as this early work! This came into my mind when your kind comment forced me to have one more look at this piece.., made me change the old title, I wasn t very happy with,.. now painting and title are coherent....

Thank you so much Jane for stopping by and have a look at one of my older works. The sea was always a natural element I was fascinated. To be fascinated by something and to be able to put this on paper or on canvas are two different things, I soon learned but I admit, I tried....I also admit that rough sea fascinates me more than calm sea, ...you must not be a psychologist to guess why.. maybe I see in it part of my own nature... Should not talk too much of myself,.. thank you for your wonderful words and your encouraging support... Almo

Almo, you have some extraordinary works here waiting ,I thought,to be discovered.Yet,having found this,it appears that two other explorers arrived the day before!!! I have not seen this one.The steely blue and green waters are brilliantly done. The perspective with the bridge is amazing and gives a huge sense of distance .You have "painted" the chilliness and the sharp breeze! It is so spacious and exhilarating.Just love the feeling!! v/f
